Self Improvement – Mixing and Matching Gurus
Tony Robbins, Brain Tracy, Robert Kiyosaki, and dozens of other self improvement gurus are willing to give you advice on almost every aspect of your life. Many people have a favorite self improvement guru they follow, while others have found a different way to take advantage of all the gurus.
The self improvement market is very large and lucrative. It seems at times almost anyone can get a book published dispensing their advice on what’s wrong with your life, and how you should live it.
This can be of great advantage to you because due to the competitiveness of the market you can find lots of free and cheap information put out there.
Many people get confused about which self improvement guru to follow. And you will see lots of message boards where people spend time arguing about who is the better guru. Well you don’t have to follow just one person’s advice for your life; you should take a little bit of advice from lots of gurus.
The best way to structure your self improvement schedule is to mix and max gurus. Simple take the best of each one, the parts of their books and programs you feel make the most sense to you and use them.
It’s hard to find a person where you agree with 100% of the advice they give. For instance Tony Robbins gives advice on your health, relationships, and finances. I don’t agree with most of what he says, but he does have great insight into some areas and has some valuable self improvement exercises to do. So I just take what I like and leave the rest and move onto the next guru.
By mixing and matching self improvement gurus you can take only the best advice that is offered out there. Remember that at different stages of your life, different people might have more relevant information than others to help get you through certain stages of your life.
